- Drink at least 2 glasses of vegetable juice per day. Freshly made juice is best. You’ll alkalize your system and bring better pH balance so your body can let go of the fat cells that store acids. Acids damage your delicate tissues and organs. To prevent damage, the body stores acids it can’t get rid of in fat cells. It will even make fat cells to store acids, if there isn’t enough storage space available. The American diet is dominated with acidic-forming foods—meat, cheese, sweets, bread, coffee, tea, alcohol, soda pop, and junk food. When you provide your body with a diet rich in alkaline foods, it can let go of acids and the fat cells that store them. Voila! You’re losing weight while barely trying.
- Get a juicer, if you don’t have one. Make your own fresh juice at home. It’s far superior to anything in a bottle. And, it’s far cheaper to make your own juice than buying it at a juice bar. - Include vegetable powders in your diet. When you travel, if you can’t afford a juicer right now, or to supplement your diet or replace fresh juice on busy days, I recommend Barley Max, Beet Max, and Carrot Max.
- Choose a high-alkaline diet. - Kick off your Juice Weight Loss Program with a one- or two-day veggie juice fast. A juice fast will help you get off to a great start with weight loss. When you see a couple of pounds drop off quickly, it’s very encouraging. It spurs you on to follow the program to get further weight loss results. - Cook with coconut oil. Virgin coconut oil is slimming. It’s the healthiest oil to cook with, and it also helps you lose weight.
- Include an exercise plan. To lose one pound per week, you need to take in 500 fewer calories a day than you burn off. A brisk walk for one hour and fifteen minutes will burn 500 calories. Include strength training to build muscles. Muscle tissue burns more calories than does fat. More muscle means more fat-burning potential, even at rest.
- Get plenty of sleep. Research shows that when you don’t get enough deep, restful sleep, five major appetite-influencing hormones get out of whack causing you to want to eat more food, especially carbs, which really pack on the pounds. - Drink at least 8 glasses of pure water every day. Water helps your body use its stored fat, promotes good colon function, and flushes away toxins and acids during the weight loss phase. - Keep a positive attitude. Did you know that negative thoughts cause toxicity in the body? It’s true. Conversely, positive thoughts create healthy biochemistry. Do a little self-talk and keep your thoughts on the positive level as much as you possibly can. I decided recently, with all the fear-based news I was hearing, that I would fast from all fear, worry, anxiety, and stress. No more negative thoughts were allowed to stick around. When one tries to enter my mind, I kick it out. Gone! I’ve decided not to participate in the economic downturn. Not to participate in all the negativity I hear. Life is going so much better since I made that decision. Good things are coming my way. They’ll be coming your way, too, when you kick the negative stuff out of your mind. And, it will be much easier to lose weight. You won’t be as inclined to indulge in stress eating.
